How much does a private driver in Sri Lanka cost per day?
Sedans start at $55 a day, vans at $55. The rate covers everything on the road — fuel, highway tolls, parking, and the driver's own food and accommodation. A 10-day trip in a sedan works out around $550 to $750 depending on the route, and every price we quote is the total for the car and driver, not per person. Longer trips cost less per day than short ones.
Is the driver's accommodation and food included?
Yes. Your daily rate covers everything for the driver — most Sri Lankan hotels provide free driver quarters and meals, so you never pay extra for it.
Do the drivers speak English?
