Our story
Sri Lanka is best explored by road — the hill-country hairpins, the coastal highway at golden hour, the back roads between ancient cities. But for decades, finding a trustworthy driver meant hotel touts, airport negotiations, or a friend-of-a-friend's WhatsApp number. Great drivers had no way to stand out; travelers had no way to compare.
Sri Lanka Driver Guide fixes both sides of that problem. Travelers get a directory of verified, reviewed professionals with honest daily rates. Drivers get a steady stream of work delivered to their phone, matched to where they actually live and operate — the first driver to accept a job wins it, so speed and reliability beat connections.
We are a UK-registered company with our operations team in Colombo. Every booking supports an independent Sri Lankan driver and their family directly — there are no fleets and no middlemen here.
Verified, always
Every driver submits their driving licence, SLTDA credentials where applicable, insurance and vehicle documents. A human reviews each file before a profile goes live — badges reflect exactly what was checked.
Transparent pricing
One daily rate covering vehicle, fuel, insurance, parking, highway fees and the driver's own meals and lodging. The full price is on screen before you pay a cent.
Fair to drivers
Drivers keep the large majority of every fare, set their own rates, and are paid on schedule. Our commission is flat and published — no listing fees, no pay-to-rank.
